welcome to the holiday market!

The beloved Provincetown tradition is back for its twelfth year! Starting the day after Thanksgiving and running every weekend to New Years, the Canteen transforms into a magical, cozy place to gather, enjoy holiday foods and drinks, and buy handcrafted goods from local artisans. This year, we will be offering several different experiences for you to enjoy — from dinner to dancing and so much more, it's all happening in our little “village.”

the gathering hall

Step inside the new Canteen Gathering Hall — Provincetown’s coziest holiday hideaway by the sea. This year The Canteen transforms into the coolest shipyard warehouse filled with the warmth of good food, strong drinks, hot drinks and great company.

Grab a table or sink into the conversation pit with a festive cocktail in hand. Order hearty holiday dishes and warm winter drinks from our food and bar windows — each one decked out with a touch of holiday cheer. Think raclette, grilled sausages, pretzels, waffles, hot toddy, hot mulled wine…

Whether you’re escaping the chill after exploring the Holiday Market, meeting friends for a fireside drink, or soaking in the spirit of Provincetown in winter, The Canteen Market Gathering Hall is where the harbor’s heart beats brightest!

(For the regulars: The Gathering Hall replaces the Canteen food and drink booth we used until now. We offer the same great food and drinks, but in the comfort of a heating tent this year, and with lots of seating!)

THE CANTEEN

While the Holiday Market is in full swing on weekends, The Canteen is still open 7 days a week.

The front and the inside of the Canteen building are fully decorated, and our menu is certainly a reflection of the season, so if you aren’t able to join us during Market hours, you will still get a great time at The Canteen
